Syria
One million Syrian refugees have returned to their country this year. But the conflict has taken a devastating toll. Homes are gone. Jobs are scarce. Families are rushing to find warmth and shelter so they can survive the winter and keep their dream of a better future alive.
A generous donation can provide Syrian refugees with winter supplies such as heaters, thermal blankets and solar panels.
Afghanistan
From earthquakes to extreme hunger to human rights violations - Afghans are facing crises on multiple fronts. Now a hostile winter is looming and people urgently need help to survive this disaster.
With your help, UNHCR can provide Afghans with emergency shelter kits so they can repair their homes and protect themselves from the elements.

With your support, UNHCR can provide winter survival kits for vulnerable families, including blankets, plastic tarpaulins and stoves. Your gifts can also provide cash assistance, helping refugee families buy food, fuel, winter clothing and other essentials.
You can help children return to school; support sport and recreation activities that empower children to find friends and freedom; and offer psychological support to help children cope with trauma.
Your gift can help reunite children with their loved ones. When this isn't possible, your donation can help place vulnerable children with trusted foster families that offer shelter, care and protection.
